QA Systems Analyst

Do you have a passion for troubleshooting, and the talent to work with complex enterprise systems?  If so, Circuit City has an exciting Systems Analyst opportunity available on our Quality Assurance Testing and Coordination team! As the Systems Analyst, you will perform Quality Assurance Testing and Coordination with Vendor Partners and Accounting Users on the Replacement Point of Sale Project (rPOS).  You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, to include reviewing project requirements and design specifications to identify gaps and ensure documented project criteria are clear, consistent, and testable.  In this role you will translate assigned end-user requirements into fully documented, re-usable test cases and scripts in accordance with approved test plans.  You will also participate in Test Case Peer Reviews to ensure test cases appropriately translate and map to requirements and develop, document, and maintain the test plan and approach.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the selection, design, and prioritization of test scenarios and test cases that provide efficient coverage of requirements consistent with acceptable level of risk Interact with test team and other internal and external organizations to identify, create, and maintain test data needed for execution of test cases Evaluate result of test execution and documents, retests, and close defects if expected results are not achieved Monitor and report status of testing tasks in the project plan Document issues related to testing and work with project team to resolve and/or escalate as appropriate Lead test team members to complete the test plan Preferred Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study Required: 4 to 6 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role Preferred one to two years in a lead role. Effective communicator Ability to organize information quickly Effective at problem solving Working knowledge of related tools such as:  ClearQuest, Mercury Quality Center, CaliberRM, WinRunner, LoadRunner, MS Excel, MS Word, Crystal Reports and Planview As we continue to transform our organization to better meet the needs of our customers, there are many opportunities to contribute to the future success of Circuit City.
