QA Project Manager (Healthcare)
Sr. QA Project Manager (U.S. Citizen / GC Holders ONLYÂ - Must have the following skills/experience: Very strong PM skills (IN A TESTING ENVIRONMENT), along with strong detailed technical skills with ETL tools (prefer DataStage), DB2 mainframe and distributed, very solid DW Lifecycle experience, and BI tools such as Business Objects (preferred) or Cognos. The successful candidate will manage testing activities at a release-level, across multiple applications, overseeing multiple Quality Assurance Project Managers (QA PMs).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Oversee QA PMs who manage production support and project-level activities* Use project level estimates to forecast domain and release level demand.* Coordinate the resource demand across projects and domains* Confirm the workload and project allocations for QA resources within the domain; track task progress, dependencies, constraints and assumptions* Effectively manage Domain budget* Independently and actively participate in project/release level meetings* Review and respond to defect triages, testing metrics, and project status reports completed by the QA PMs* Identify and escalate release level risks, issues, impacts and recommendations* Guarantee positive audit results by ensuring QA documentation/deliverables are completed, required sign-offs are obtained, and artifacts are appropriately stored* Develop and maintain Status and Metric reporting, at a Domain release level* Communicate with business, development, and senior management on the progress of the Release Period project goals, objectives, and testing efforts* Promote adherence to Aetna*s Software Development Lifecycle standards and QA tools/processesIDEAL BACKGROUND/SKILLS:* Strong PM skills with experience managing an integrated program of IT projects, preferably in Healthcare or Insurance industry* Strong leadership skills, with proven ability to provide clear direction to matrixed resources* Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and QA processes/methodologies* Experienced in use of PM tools to track all aspects of QA projects* Ability to prioritize tasks to meet critical deliverables* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification* Certified Software Testing Engineer (CSTE) designation
