QA Engineer
BridgeView IT is a Denver-based technology placement firm that specializes in high-end technology staffing and consulting services specifically in the Colorado front-range region. The Bridgeview IT staff offers expert knowledge of the Denver information technology marketplace and we strive to build long term relationships with our clients and candidates in helping people find the ideal job at the most competitive market rates.
We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer to work on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis with our client in north Denver.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The ability to perform in a dynamic and “process-lite” environment. Review and provide input on the accuracy, clarity and testability of requirement documentation. Create, execute and maintain test cases for products and/or internal applications. Create and maintain test plans. Conduct testing using multiple test methodologies. Isolate software problems, writing clear and detailed defect reports. Assist development with defect reproduction. Validate issues reported as fixed. Work to the priorities assigned by the QA Lead and/or Manager. Demonstrate product understanding over responsible applications. Communicate issues and status with QA Lead. Subject Matter Expert over a component of responsible application.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledgeable of software test methodologies. Analytical and investigative problem-solving skills and the tenacity to work to the resolution of complex tasks. The ability to assume responsibility for project assignments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills. A demonstrated ability to work independently. UNIX experience SQL experience Experience with QTP Candidate must have a 4-year degree or equivalent business experience. 4 or more years experience in a Software Testing role.
