Public Service - Application Testing Specialist
Description Organization: Public Service Location: Rosslyn, VA The Public Service operating group serves government organizations around the globe, as well as foundations, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and non-profit enterprises. Accenture's Services workforce is a dedicated team of people who work on outsourcing engagements. These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR. We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition. Job Description: The Application Testing Specialist will have the following duties: • Support the design, implementation, and execution of testing to verify system and business requirements• Prepare detailed, comprehensive test procedures and perform testing of these procedures in a controlled environment• Review and validate test data and test execution results to verify system level requirements• Identify anomalies in software procedures or other program artifacts and document findings• Work with other appropriate personnel such as Senior Test Engineer, Software Developers, or System Test Lead • Provide leadership in the area of testing and coach more junior test team members Key Responsibilities: • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports• Execute test scripts• Map test cases and scripts to documented requirements• Identify, report, and record defects• Conduct functional test activities• Report status to Test Manager and work with the Test Manager to resolve issues• Identify and log test team issues and risks• Coordinate and oversee configuration of test environment and administration of automated test tools• Review component and assembly test plans created by the development team• Identify,gather, and/or create test data• Participate in the coordination and execution of release testing Qualifications Basic Qualifications: • 3 years testing experience• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree Preferred Skills: • Expertise using automated test tools• Experience with the software development life cycle on a large project To submit resumes online Click Here This role requires U.S. Citizenship due to Client Clearance requirements.
