Job Description:

Our client has a need for a Project Scheduler.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Certified MS Project 2003 (IIL Blue Belt or Equivalent)
• Good working knowledge of managing multiple projects
• Ability to identify and create appropriate reporting to aid management oversight of project progress as detailed in the project schedule
• Strong understanding of project management concepts and best practices
• Advanced Project Web Access skills
• Knowledge of MS Project Server configuration
• Good communication skills (oral, email, etc.)
• Good time management skills
• MS Excel
• Adobe – PDF Maker

Responsibilities
• Maintain an integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for a large SAP implementation.
• Adhere to Best Practices established during Rolling Wave Planning (RWP).
• Follow processes for making adjustments to schedule items (work, resources, etc.).
• Work to make IMS Maintenance tasks more efficient.
• Suggest ways for improving processes and allowing IPT leads and leadership to have better insight into the IMS.
• Meet on weekly and as-needed basis with IPT leads and sub-leads.
• Be familiar with the entire schedule.
• Manage time spent with IPTs.
• Work with the IPT Leads to build understanding of the IMS and help them craft IMS CRs that are meaningful and beneficial to the overall health of the IMS.
• Perform a brief analysis of all IMS CRs within 48 hours of being entered in SEP.
• Follow-up with IPT Leads if necessary.
• Process IMS CRs in a timely manner according to the priorities set with the IMS Planning & Maintenance Lead.
• Assist where needed to support the RWP for future events.
• Assist IMS Planning & Maintenance Lead in ‘training’ end users on Project Web Access capabilities.
• Perform “what if” scenarios and ad hoc analysis related to the IMS as requested by the IMS Planning & Maintenance Lead.
• Attend weekly IMS Schedule team meeting to review open items, team issues, and set priorities for open CRs.
• Notify Configuration Management team of any IMS CRs that need to go before the CCB by COB on Tuesday of each week.
• Develop analysis reports for IMS CRs requiring CCB approval.
• Maintain/Update Process documents related to IMS Maintenance processes as needed.
• Keep IMS Planning and Maintenance Lead apprised of any issues/concerns related to the IMS, processing of CRs or MSP Server.
• Work to minimize overtime.
• Notify IMS Planning and Maintenance Lead if overtime over 5% is required in a given week to complete tasks.
• Provide IMS Planning and Maintenance Lead with brief status each week by COB Thursday.
• Enter time in PWA each Thursday.
• Provide signed hard copies of time on the 15th and last day of the month.
• Provide signed hard copy of expense report and receipts within 7 days of the end of the month
• Follow other client project policies and guidelines.

Experience/Education
• 4-6 years professional experience preferably in the consulting field
• 3-4 years of experience with planning and scheduling for large projects using MS Project
• BA or BS in related field

Other Requirements
• Laptop with Windows XP, Microsoft Project Professional 2003, Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Outlook
