You do not have to have a college degree but if you do it will be a plus!!!==============================================================Client is looking for a Project Coordinator or Project Associate that has been managing IT Consultants that are on a "bench" for differenct projects. You would be responisble for placing those Consultants on differenct projects and knowing which projects to place them in.  Have a strong understanding of ITlike .NET, SAP etc.. would be a plus so that you can place these Consultants on "bench" accordingly. The Project Resource Manager – PPMO is: - a full time role reporting to the PPMO - will focus on matching resource needs with availability while taking into consideration skills required and engagement risk. The individual will work with project and functional managers to balance workloads and address staffing needs as required for projects - Promote and monitor the sharing of resources - Proactively identify and address scheduling issues (i.e. excessively high/low utilization, performance issues, staff/engagement issues). - Monitor unassigned resources, act as primary point of contact for unassigned staff; proactively identify assignments. - Fill open needs as identified; proactively investigate projects that may be able to release individuals to meet requirements - Regularly communicate regarding headcount activity and any performance issues surfaced by engagement teams - Review actual and projected utilization, anticipate availability and proactively take action to minimize unassigned time - Analyze Plan/Actual to assist in forecasting hours, tracking utilization and monitoring headcount. Raise issues identified to PPMO & Functional Managers - Appropriately prioritize staffing decisions based on engagement risk, specialization requirements, timing constraints, staffing continuity and geographic considerations - Identify over and under utilized personnel, be proactive in identifying additional resources to bring utilization in line with their peers - Minimal supervision on a day to day basis, must be able to work independently and be able to set priorities as appropriate - Expected to provide information to drive significant reductions in development and production resource expense: - improved responsiveness and timeliness of projects - efficient, timely decision making Leadership The Project Resource Manager - PPMO will be instrumental in managing the capacity and deployment of people for project work by finding and deploying the most qualified resources. Monitoring operational work and centralizing information to empower project, resource, and staffing managers to better utilize their single most critical resource: people. Additionally this position will have three functional responsibilities: 1. Information Gathering: - Working with the IT units across the enterprise to collect existing and future project information – technology, timeframe, and resource requirements - Summarizing information from the various sources into an understandable format for review by the PPMO and Functional Managers to include: 1. Resource allocations by skill sets 2. Resource needs by application 3. Rolling resource projections 2. Educating: - Developing technical skills that relate to the mission of the company PPMO - Developing personal skills, such as leadership and negotiation - Providing coaching, education, and guidance in the application of the process 3. Proactively identify resource conflicts and issues between projects Skills - Influencing, leadership, working with a virtual team-based structure - Knowledge of Integrated Product Development processes - Broad knowledge of Information Systems - Knowledge of software/application, hardware and services solution development and delivery - Deep project/operational resource management experience - Ability to coordinate technical resources under an integrated framework to ensure  alignment of resources - Possess strong/effective problem solving and decision making skills - Ability to communicate (verbal and/or written) information and ideas in a clear, concise, organized and appropriate manner as well as demonstrating effective listening - Qualified candidate must possess the necessary drive and goal attainment skills - Ability to manage tasks simultaneously while managing attention to detail - Ability to schedule resources for large & small projects in a dynamic environment 5+ years successful experience in Project or Operational Resource Management Bachelors Degree Proficient in Microsoft Project Ability to perform monthly reporting requirements for the PPMO Ability to provide support to the PPMO Team and Functional Managers in resource planning needs Ability to escalate and continuously highlight open issues in a timely manner ASAP • strong analytical skills — detail oriented • proficient in scheduling tool and other Microsoft applications • very strong oral and written communication skills • proficient at negotiation skills and conflict management • strong client service focus — responsive to requests, maintains a sense of urgency in resolving issues • well versed in area policies • possess strong problem solving skills • flexible in adapting to constantly changing priorities • possess outstanding teamwork and interpersonal skills • self-starter, able to work independently • ability to coordinate multiple tasks — strong organizational skills • change agent Jennifer Lawrence Resource Development Manager jennifer.chapalawrence@modisit.com   | ph: 972.813.0479Modis 14911 Quorum Drive Suite 120, Dallas, TX  75254 cell: 972.415.3201 | f: 972.712.6505 | modisit.com Company: Modis, Inc.
