Project Manager / Infrastructure
Responsible for the analysis, planning, engineering design and implementation of data technology impacted by major facility projects. Scope of work includes the development of comprehensive work plans, budgets and analysis of user requirements in a rapidly changing technology environment. Responsible for the deisgn and analysis of complex technology RFPs and vendor management, including the development of benchmark measurements of performance. Responsible for the development of all requirements/needs and identification of systems and/or tools to achieve successful departmental relocations with positive outcomes identified by thoroughness, anticipated impact and financial performance. Also, responsible for post-installation review of data and customer perception to insure objectives continue to be achieved.
Serves as a senior resource on all facility projects involving relocation of departments and changing technological requirements. Develop a working knowledge of the infrastructure, systems, software and hardware components utilized throughout the health system. Also responsible for identifying and insuring adherence to all Health System technology standards.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalency in related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the delivery of information technology services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. Commitment to providing quality, customer-oriented service. Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects and balance resources. Equivalency is defined as one of the following (1) 5+ years in technology planning, with special focus on operational design of applications/wide area networks and identification of emerging technological applications for evaluation within the Clients organization, or (2) MCSE or CCNA (or higher) certification, or (3) 5 years large scale client server application design deployment in a distributed computing environment, including use of thin clients and push technology.
1. Provides technology engineering, project management and construction expertise during all major facility projects. This includes, but is not limited to, facilitating the definition of requirements, process redesign, development of business cases, RFP preparation, vendor evaluation and selection, contract negotiations, implementation management and support transition.
2. Development and implementation of performance benchmarks for vendors and staff to insure that service delivery is achieved in a cost-effective and timely manner.
3. Provides complex analysis of information regarding HVAC, electrical, security issues impacting the delivery of technology throughout the system.
4. Provides technical oversight of architectural planning processes and integrates long range health system technology plans into the development of major remodels that may be impacted physically or operationally.
5. Provides high level application support for integrated system solutions throughout the system. Performs assessment, follow up and resolution of all user issues in a timely and cost effective manner. Accountable for the recommendation, design and implementation of applications that enhance the ability of departments to deliver service to their patients and staff. Accountable for the anticipation of user needs that will be driven by departmental relocations.
6. Provides technical analysis of cabling infrastructure and requirements based upon information developed jointly with users and Planning, Design & Construction. Responsibilities include preparation of detailed Statements of Work, appropriate competitive bidding, contract analysis, vendor and contractor management to insure timely and cost-effective completion.
