Project Manager IT (PMP) Cleared

Position Description:
AINS is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager who has at least 5 years of experience in managing a team that provides software development, deployment and operational support to Federal Government clients.  The selected candidate will work independently; report to the Vice President; interface directly with the Client Program Manager (CPM); handle complex problems regularly and successfully; exercise sound independent judgment; and act as the consultant to Corporate Management on contract growth.

 

Responsibilities/Duties Include:Managing a team of approximately 30 staff Overseeing the work of Functional Leads (Deployment Manager, Testing Manager, Operations Manager; Configuration Manager) Project Management and Staffing Planning Task Order Management, Tracking, and Reporting Project Scheduling Transition Planning Performance Reporting Testing ManagementConfiguration Managment Earned Value Management System establishment (ANSI/EIA-748) and Integrated Baseline Review Planning and reporting Software Development and Deployment Strategy Planning Testing Strategy Planning Training Strategy Planning Data Migration Planning Ensuring Maintenance of Project Artifacts, including:

- Operations Strategy documents;

- Comprehensive Issues List(s);

- Standard Operational Procedures (SOP);

- Test Plans and Reports;

- Training Reports;

- Monthly Status Reports; and

- Surveys and ResultsContinuous Improvement Planning

 

Mandatory Requirements

- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI is required;

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University;

- Minimum five (5) years of large software project management experience, including at least three (3) years experience in supporting Federal Government clients;

- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or eligibility is required;

- Experience with mission critical software applications in acquisitions, finance, and human resource management;
Excellent knowledge of software support techniques;

- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills;

- Highly effective communication skills;

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; and

- Excellent leadership skills.
