Project Manager, Global Business Intelligence

DESCRIPTION:Responsible for project management, business analysis, quality assurance, documentation, and training related to development and support of global business intelligence information system(s)/Data Warehouse as this supports the financial group.  This person should have solid global PM experience working in an environment where the BI/DW technologies, and more importantly the architectures, concepts, and strategies that underlie them, are being deployed or supported. 

Responsibilities include:Project Management of Global Business Intelligence projects 
Requirements analysis and documentation
Data issue QA and research related to projects and ongoing support
End User support and training in usage of BI toolsManage an assigned, simultaneous Global Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse project workload of varied sized projects.Manage project initiation and approvalCollect, document and analyze requirementsDevelop QA & testing plansDevelop project plansEstablish roles and responsibilitiesManage meetings and sponsor communicationsIssue regular status reportsImplementation planningDevelop training plans and ensure deliveryUse their Project Framework materials and methodologiesWork closely with BIS Technology Project Managers to ensure delivery of projectsWork closely with business leads and sponsors to ensure business-related responsibilities are executed.Escalate all major project issues to the Director, Global Business Intelligence, and project sponsors as appropriate.As necessary, function as a project participant (Business Analyst, QA lead, etc) on BIS projects managed by other staffBusiness Intelligence Operational Support
Investigate and resolve user issues related to BIS systems as assigned. Assist in management of issues logs and prioritization.  Use query and reporting tools to investigate and document BI data quality & integrity issues, and propose/drive solutions with the BIS Leadership Team.
Provide user support for all BIS applications. Serve as primary BIS customer interface for specific user areas as assigned.  Work generally with all global business units to answer questions, collect issues, and generally assist in the usage of BI tools.
Manage the BIS Training programs, collaborating with other BIS team members to deliver scheduled and ad-hoc training sessions.
In conjunction with Director, Global Business Intelligence, serve as an ambassador for Business Intelligence and data warehousing within the business units.  Offer informal educational opportunities as appropriate to colleagues.
In conjunction with Director, BIS, manage and maintain the BIS Community/Collaboration sites and document repositories.  Ensure that relevant project and operational materials are posted and kept current with BIS and  WPF document standards.

REQUIREMENTS:STRONG Global Project Management/Business Analyst - 3+ yrs
Business Intelligence/DW - 3+ yrs OR Financial Planning and/or accounting/g/l from the end user sideIf you have the BI side then the tools can be Cognos or any BI/Data Warehouse tool
If not a BI/DW tool then must have some Financial Reporting (as this supports the financial group)
