Programmer Analyst, Senior - BI and Data Warehousing A challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Senior level Programmer Analyst to work on mission critical business systems. Responsibilities include: designing and developing BI solutions, providing technical and analytical guidance and support to the business, researching new tool applications to meet business needs, documenting project deliverables and procedures, and mentoring other team members. 5+ yrs of BI & Data Warehousing lifecycle exp. 3+ yrs exp. using Cognos & exp. with-COGNOS 8.x=Report Studio, Query Studio, Metrics Studio, Event Studio, Access Manager, Portal Administration, Server Administration, Content Administration. Exp. w/ Cognos SDK. Oracle DBMS exp., w/ exp. in PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL Navigator, or Toad. Knowledge of data & data manipulation techniques. Relational/Star Schema modeling & design. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle. Validating accuracy of generated report to reliable source data including variance to prior data. Solid analytical skills & ability to effectively derive & develop requirements & designs. Ability to translate loosely defined business problems into sets of objectives, with concise & logical requirements. Ability to transform functional requirements into reports. Ability to decompose large complex systems & processes into addressable components. Hands on development experience with Informatica or other ETL development a plus. Data modeling and architecture a plus. Composite Studio a plus.
