Program Manager - Senior

Smartronix is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager with an extensive operational background working large scale DOD network migrations covering the full range of capabilities typically found in a Combatant Command Headquarters.  The position will be in support of USSOUTHCOM located in Miami FL.  The successful candidate must be a motivated, self-starter with a minimum of 15 years experience in designing, migrating, implementing and sustaining large scale enterprise networks.   The over all responsibility for this position is to design the migration of all IT related capabilities from the current USSOUTHCOM HQs facility to the new HQs building.  This Program Manger will lead a team of 16 to 23 engineers, depending upon options purchased by the command.   In general, the Program Manger will be responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provide a single point of contact for those projects to the government.  Takes projects from original concept using baseline documentation already developed by USSOUTHCOM and leads the team in designing detailed migration plans and engineering solutions through final migration and implementation.  Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including Radio, Voice, AV and VTC systems; networked systems (Unclassified, Secret and Top Secret/SCI), multiple equipment rooms and machine rooms and an Automated Data Processing center.  The program manager will define project scope, objectives and develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.  Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.  Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.  Manages the integration of multiple designs and plans into a cohesive migration plan and tracks and reviews deliverables.  Provides technical and analytical guidance to multiple project teams. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.  Prepares briefs and makes presentations to command leadership.  Required Skills: 5 years Program Management experience 10 years project management and leadership experience Experience with managing and maintaining large DOD IP networks PMP A Top Secret clearance granted by the Department of Defense is required. Smartronix is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit package that allows its employees and their dependents to have choices with their benefit plans as well as coverage levels.
