Position Description:
Primary duties are Program Management of US Army intelligence and aviation communication architectures associated with a deployed special operations unit in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). This PM will travel extensively in the United States as well as Iraq and Afghanistan. Must interface with numerous US Army and Joint Department of Defense (DoD) organizations to establish viable network of common communication support structures. This position requires oversight of a staff of Field Service Technicians to be deployed in OEF. Project has highest visibility at DoD levels. This position requires a person that is highly motivated and a self starter, with recognized communications credentials. Must be able and fit to travel, work 7 days a week as required in order to get project underway. The position requires the applicant to have a working knowledge of C3I and intelligence reporting devices to aviation communication links. Duties will include knowledge of network design, administration, router connectivity, training, documentation, logistics, fielding, and technical sustainment. Specifically, this position requires on-site assessments in five separate sites with communication equipment locations. Assess at each site the facilities (power availability, type, cooling), communications architecture, sensors in area, requirements from DoD and coordination with military commands. The position requires knowledge and experience to determine the best way to establish specified communication links and reporting architecture within the Command areas. Determine the right systems to be use based on leveraging existing communication systems. Coordinate all activities with all current contractor system leads.
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5 years relevant experience or 10 years relevant experience (Required).Active Top Secret clearance (Required).Must be willing to travel in a potentially hostile environment designated by the U.S. Government as an Imminent Danger Zone or Hostile Fire Zone (Required).
Qualifications:Past military experience highly desired.Documented leadership, program management experienceCredentials working with networks, routers, and data links.Recent commas architecture experience working with US Government systems.
