Position Description

CGIs Healthcare Solutions Group (HSG) invents, builds, markets and delivers world class Health IT solutions and services to mid-to-large sized healthcare providers (primarily hospitals) in North America. Our innovative solutions improve the health of healthcare by advancing the quality of patient care, reducing operating costs and increasing patient and physician loyalty. Our solution focus areas include Enterprise Content Management (ECM), business process automation, Health Information Exchange (HIE), physician and patient portals and related consulting/systems integration services. CGI Sovera, a market leading ECM solution designed to manage the unstructured information needs of todays hospital, is implemented in over 250 facilities. HSG also offers Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services for the Health Information Management (HIM) function of hospitals such as Medical Coding.
Our business is healthy and growing! We are seeking an experienced Solution Offering Manager to manage HSGs solution portfolio of software product and service offerings. The Solution Offering Manager will ensure that CGI delivers competitive solutions to the commercial provider market that maximizes CGI resources and contributes in a predictable manner to the business results and strategic plan of the organization. The Solution Offering Manager will coordinate and collaborate with a cross-functional team (sales, marketing, services, support, research and development, internal subject matter experts and external customers) to develop, execute and manage a compelling, differentiated solution offering strategy. You will ensure the continued success of current solutions as well as identify, develop and launch new initiatives to fuel our business growth.
Specific responsibilities include solution strategy creation, market and competitive analysis, business case development and approval, competitive positioning, solution messaging, pricing and packaging, sales education, overseeing transition from development to services and support, beta and reference site relationship management, coordination of general availability checklist, industry awareness and client success story capture, P&L contribution and monitoring and solution lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
Leverage market and competitive information to create realistic and achievable product plans, providing a reliable planning roadmap over a three-year period. These plans should articulate the market opportunities, evaluate and recommend alternative solutions to address the opportunity (including various build / buy / partner strategies), clarify financial model / ROI implications and ensure that the solutions are then sellable and meet market price points, lifecycle progression, investment focus and mix.
Investigate growth opportunities and feature requirements in vertical and horizontal markets.
Create business cases to effectively communicate the viability of investment opportunities, submit these for objective comparison with other competing investment alternatives and monitor performance of the investment over time against the original business case.
Drive product and associated services development by understanding and passionately advocating customer and market requirements, negotiating feature sets, developing and communicating solution requirements and leading product Change Control Board (CCB).
Leverage broader CGI solution offerings and related Intellectual Property (IP) to create differentiated solution offerings for the commercial provider market.
Provide guidance and prioritization in risk and issue management, scope management, oversee pilot site contracts and relationships, manage and coordinate third party relationships, coordinate internal education and a transition plans that enable functional teams to effectively assimilate new solutions and capabilities.
Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to ensure position statements, solution collateral and presentations are developed that reflect sustainable differentiation, value proposition, competitive deficiencies and consistency with overall marketing strategy. Drive the creation and execution of the solution marketing plan which includes market and competitive analysis, solution positioning, solution roadmap, messaging , pricing and packaging, value proposition, sales training and tools, effective planning and tracking of sales and lead generation programs, client success stories, ROI, and reference site development and testimonials.
Continuously manage business case development and approval, market and competitive position and performance, solution messaging and positioning, pricing and packaging, make buy/build/partner decisions, provide sales education, transition to services and support, beta and reference site management, general availability, industry awareness and client success stories, solution issue and customer escalation management, business plan P&L contribution and monitoring.
Act as a dynamic spokesperson for solutions, developing rapport with press and analysts.
Monitor and Research the latest regulatory requirements impacting commercial healthcare providers and our solutions (such as HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act)).

Essential Skills/Experience Required:
3 - 6+ years of IT Product Management experience
Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Document Management
Experienced in hospital operations including Health Information Management (HIM), Patient Financial Services/Business Office and/or Accounts Payable
Will require 30-50% travel depending on where individual is based
Proven success in bringing profitable solutions to market and effectively managing them through key stages of the lifecycle
A keen, flexible and aggressive intellect; superior conceptual thinking as well as analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong organizational skills
Extraordinary communications ability, verbal and written, at all levels.
Project Management experience
Proven record of creating and maintaining business partnerships and relationships
Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&Ls and financials
Strong decision making, judgment and analytical skills
Ability to direct and collaborate with internal partners
Ability to influence internal partners and business leaders
Effectively establish and build partnerships with external customers and business partners (e.g., OEM arrangements, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional virtual teams
Thorough knowledge of long-range and operational planning techniques
Non-essential Skills Desired
Product Management certification desirable, i.e. PDMA (Product Development Management Association) or AIPMM (Association of International Product Marketing Management) certified
Healthcare Provider / Hospital industry experience and knowledge
Working knowledge of CMM and/or CMMi, SCP, PMI, ISO and Six Sigma
Prior experience working with a Health IT software product vendor
Relevant industry certifications such as RHIA
Software Packages
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Microsoft Project
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in business, computer science, engineering, health informatics, or marketing
Advanced degree in business management, marketing or planning desirable
