Procurement/Strategic Sourcing Manager / 676 Position Description:Job Description Assists the Vice President of IT Administration on all IT purchasing initiatives. Executes strategic IT sourcing opportunities and manages IT procurement procedures and vendors. Responsible for propagating scalable contract processes to support the companies growth. Provides value-added services to internal IT departments that include vendor management, contract/proposal review, sourcing and procurement policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Conducts strategic IT sourcing, negotiations and RFP execution. Develops baseline analyses and new contract documents and requirements including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for bidding, evaluating and awarding projects. Completes in-depth competitive IT market analyses, negotiates and/or renegotiates all contractual IT agreements. Manages the purchasing and administration of IT contracts and service agreements which may include consulting services, software licensing and hardware. Ensures contract terms/conditions are in accordance with company policies. Plays a major role in the development of contract requirements for Master Agreements. Enhances the departments Supplier Relationship Management processes. Optimizes Spend Management techniques for savings, improved sourcing cycle time and stakeholder satisfaction. Optimizes value, quality and risk in deals/contracts. Actively seeks out Procurement Best Practices and improvements in departments policies and procedures. Identifies new cost-saving opportunities leveraging market, usage, and commodity analysis.Evaluates vendor performanceEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must have a minimum of five to seven years in IT Procurement. Must have two to three years experience managing and sourcing procurement of IT infrastructure and Consulting AgreementsGeneral knowledge, familiarity and comprehension of standard United States commercial, regulatory and best business practices required. Keeps abreast of market conditions and industry developments. Must be adept at handling multiple tasks. Strong oral and written communication, analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
