Privacy Specialist/Analyst, Senior (Cleared)

Position Description
AINS is seeking a Senior Privacy Analyst with Federal experience.  The selected candidate will report to the AINS Program Manager; interface directly with the agency Deputy Privacy Officer; and will be responsible for the daily operations of the Privacy Office.

 

Responsibilities/Duties

This position is responsible for

· Handling privacy requests received;

· Processing privacy threshold assessments (determinations of whether data within systems contain potentially personally identifiable information);

· Processing privacy impact assessments (evaluations of the potential PII to determine whether the Privacy Act applies);

· Processing Federal Register notifications (for System of Records Notices), etc.

· Interfacing with potential internal customers of the Privacy Office and with other Divisions and Branches, including the Information Records Division

· Handling coordination/liaison duties with OMB for FOIA/PA requests;

· Serving as the liaison with the Government Printing Office;

· Developing a plan to meet FISMA reporting requirements; provide input for quarterly and annual FISMA reports; and 

· Providing consultation and guidance to system owners for privacy-related issues

Mandatory Requirements

This position requires the following:

· Senior Level Privacy Office support experience;

· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University;

· Secret Level DoD Security Clearance;

· Familiarity with associated Public Laws, Presidential Directives, OMB Memoranda and other policies and procedures; 

· Demonstrated vocal and written communications skills;

· Ability to deal with all levels of staff (to include agency senior management);

· Self-starting nature with the ability to independently schedule and execute his or her own work;

· Knowledgeable and proficient in the MS Office suite of applications and the MS Windows environment in general.
