Print Production Manager

Our Columbia, Maryland office is seeking a skilled  Print Production Manager for our Production Services Department.  As a  Production Manager you will manage the production of direct mail and print-related agency projects, including estimating, scheduling, approving vendor proofs and distributing samples.  Responsibilities:·  Oversee production related activities including: estimating, scheduling, project management, pre-press, printing/personalization and mail house services ·  Manage complex projects that may include: multi-lingual translations, versioning, data segmentation, dimensional packages, multiple drops and more·  Collaborate with Creative and Account teams to recommend best production solutions; prepare schedules and production workflow·  Schedule and manage the outsourced production to vendors (printers, lettershops, etc.)·  Create job specifications·  Estimate all projects – work with internal and negotiate with external vendors to negotiate best pricing·  Execute to estimates to ensure profit goals are met while achieving customer requirements·  Meet tight deadlines while successfully executing programs·  Maintain budgets, create and reconcile PO’s·  Research and select vendors who can provide the latest capabilities and creative options ·  Implement a production evaluation process to identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and profitability·  Postal expertise - domestic - standard and non-profit mail preferred Skills:·  Minimum of 3-5 years print production experience·  Excellent understanding of print production, mailhouse and postal requirements ·  Excellent organization and time management skills·  Strong problem-solving skills ·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills·  Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, while keeping a good sense of humor https://www.hirebridge.com/application/appchoice.asp?jid=69205
