We are currently looking for the best talent available for a Business Analyst with a proven track record in technology based solutions for an international corporation. This Position requires both strong technical and project management skills and is located at our office in New Britain, CT.
Major Responsibilities:
· Work closely with business units, primarily, President, CFO, Commercial Finance, Pricing Leaders, and Sales & Marketing organizations to identify and provide innovative pricing solutions and programs that will help Stanley to drive incremental revenue growth & improved profitability
· Develop pricing strategy and drive margin/revenue improvement.
· Develop sophisticated finance models and analytics that provide business insight for decision making
· Liaison between the Business and IT teams to:
o Structure and leverage data with insight into three main areas; internal sales and margin data, customer behavior (point of sales), and market intelligence.
o Formulate and implement sophisticated Business Analytics
o Utilize the analytics to identify opportunities with a focus on sales growth and margin improvement
o Develop and assist with operational solution for business analytics
· Works closely with management to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, then translate these needs into analytical requirements and design specifications; refine conceptual analytic designs requirements
· Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout project lifecycle
Essential Skills:
· Individual must be a results driven self starter focused on providing value to the business
· Solid understanding of business processes with emphasis on Pricing, Finance and Sales and Marketing of manufactured products
· Proven track record in successfully identifying and implementing analytical solutions. Experience in multiple channel businesses including retail/consumer and industrial channels a plus.
· Superior project management skills; experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors, ability to analyze projects needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives
· Strong analysis, design, and implementation skills to solve complex business problems with pragmatic solutions. Ability to drill down to the root cause of recurring issues
· Must have strong project management skills including experience in managing and coordinating cross functional teams throughout the project lifecycle to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions
· Microsoft Access experience a plus
· Strong interpersonal skills – Ability to work with peers and management teams at all levels of the organization
· Must have strong communication skills – must communicate well with functional leaders to understand improvement opportunities and partner with various disciplines in support of creating a more controlled and efficient work environment
Preferred Skills:
· Hands on experience in business functional role, preferably sales and marketing, pricing, six sigma, finance and/or commercial finance
· Experience in developing statistical analytics that drive business projects focused on sales growth and margin improvement
· Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt preferred) or similar certification
· Strong statistical experience in developing sophisticated business analytics
· Six Sigma / Kaizen & Continuous Improvement experience a plus
· MBA a plus
Minimum Experience:
· Minimum of 3 years experience with a minimum of 2 years in a related functional role.
· Analytical experience with Excel
· Knowledge of Project Management
· BS/BA required
