This role will oversee the implementation of communities of practice, including the implementation and utilization of collaborative tools, such as blogs and wikis, to maximize their usefulness and add value to communities of practice. The role also acts as the face of the community of practice program for Global Consulting Knowledge Management. Key responsibilities will be to execute a portion of the Global Consulting community of practice program by performing processes including: documentation, tracking, metrics reporting, site review & assessment, and assisting practitioners and soliciting feedback. Additionally, the individual will prioritize the work load of detailed tasks to allow the communities of practice program to achieve growth and improve quality. The position will also be responsible for reporting the status of program metrics and goals on a regular basis as well as enhancing the community of practice effectiveness by increasing awareness and utilization of relevant knowledge assets, tools and resources. MAIN DUTIES: - Identifies communities around the organization who will benefit from using community of practice sites on the Global Consulting intranet, the Knowledge Exchange - Acts as point of contact for the community of practice program and available to answer questions relating to the creation, maintenance, process and development of communities of practice - Guides the community of practice processes from identification through retirement and motivates communities of practice to realize their full potential based on indicators of a successful community of practice  - Establishes and maintains community of practice program documentation, such as governance and standards, as well as a program toolkit to facilitate best practices - Contributes to new design of communities of practice based on feedback, user experience, metrics and other inputs.  Gathers and reviews technical requirements and coordinates with portal team and stakeholders - Assists in the development of a community of practice recognition program - Supports community members around content management process, from formal content submissions to user generated content.  Available to answer contribution, publishing and clarifying questions/issues for community of practice practitioners - Works with various KM groups to identify and track communities of practice. Maintains community of practice tracking database to ensure current information is accurate and up-to-date - Creates and maintains community of practice site as resource for KM groups and community of practice facilitators and provides expertise in managing community training - Works closely with remote resources, based in R10,  to achieve key goals, including guidance with workload balancing and setting priorities REQUIRED: - Ability to correctly prioritize and multitask work assignments by using sound judgment - Ability to handle quick turnaround on targeted projects with quality results - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance - Predisposition to quickly understand technology - Customer service orientation with tangible outcomes - Detailed and task oriented with ability to effectively manage work load to meet program goals - Excellent oral and written communications skills, including well developed presentation and facilitation skills - Two or more years experience within a professional services / management consulting firm - Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Management Information Systems, Library Sciences, or Communications) - Proven experience managing communities of practice   PREFERRED: - Experience with collaborative tools - Experience with virtual teams - Experience with knowledge management and content management tools and processes - Experience with Sharepoint - Capacity to travel as needed - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - Understanding of knowledge management concepts and best practices - Knowledge of knowledge management tools and processes - Knowledge of Sharepoint functionality - GCKM Community of practice program team roles - GCKM program team roles - Practitioners, at all levels About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
