Plant Scheduling & MES

Job Description:



Responsible for directing, coaching and supplying solution content to ArcelorMittal USA business units to ensure delivery of business value from plant level scheduling & MES solutions. 

 Identification of business and value gaps in the area of plant level scheduling & MES within and across business unitsConvincing and securing support from senior management for plant level scheduling & MES solutions combined with associated process and organizational changeProviding strategy, content and project know-how (change management, program management) to the business unitsSignificant contribution to the creation and operation of a plant level scheduling & MES Excellence CentreEnsuring that business units are in a ready state to successfully deploy selected plant level scheduling & MESExecuting on cooperate plant level scheduling & MES strategy and managing relationship with vendors to ensure their successful deliveryOther duties as necessaryTravel will be necessary – both within North America and internationally

 

Experience Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of plant level scheduling & MES in the Metals industry, including the interaction with process control systems and higher level order management systems.Strength to communicate with all levels of the business/operational organization to ensure aligned understandingStrong visible experience of deploying process and organizational change combined with low cost and sustainable deployment of IT packaged solutionsExperience of managing relationships with IT solution vendorsKnowledge of how to productize learning’s of previous projects to enable rapid and low-risk route to value for future projectsCompetence to understand IT technology and recognize their application against the ArcelorMittal business environment
