We are looking for an experienced and professional Production Support Specialist to plan and coordinate all activities related to the integration of end user software programs and applications into organizational information systems. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help validate, verify, communicate and resolve systems and software issues through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of IT investments and initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Strategy & Planning* Orchestrate integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams.* Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.* Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new or enhanced end user applications * Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.* Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company's overall strategic vision.* Collaborate with analysts, designers and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications.Acquisition & Deployment* Research and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.* Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.* Lead integration testing phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.* Liaise with third party software developers and in-house programmers to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software.Operational Management* Ensure the collection and coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by integration efforts.* Test fixes and perform post resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.* Evaluate results of integration projects, then report and make recommendations based on findings.* Communicate applications problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and unit leaders.* Design and develop course materials, exercises and skills evaluation for new or enhanced software applications.* Review training materials and documentation and keep them up to date.Position Requirements* Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering, business administration and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.Knowledge & Experience* Experience in enterprise-level application integration.* Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development, and data mapping.* Experience in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering.* Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.* Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. ** Local and distant travel required occasionally.
