Serve as a key member of a three-person DBA team supporting test and production of Oracle 9i /10g running under Linux and/or Windows; aid in the installation and migration of new production and test of a 10g RAC running Linux 5.X. from 9i; design (logical and physical), create, maintain, monitor, tune, backup and recover Production, QA and development databases; plan and lead efforts for database upgrades; provide rotating on-call support for 24x7 operation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and four years of experience in network or database design and administration, or systems analysis is required. Prefer applicants with a. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Oracle Certifications; five to seven years of experience in Oracle 9i and 10g; three to five years of troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in all aspects of database administration; experience in tuning databases for performance and analyzing I/O and OS issues related to database performance; experience in architecting environments based on current demands and estimating future requirements; expert knowledge in use of OEM, RMAN and strategies for backup and recovery.
