North America Channel Leader Req:130985 Title:  North America Channel LeaderLocation:  Virtual Position Overview:The primary objective of this position is to significantly increase profitable revenue growth in the channel in North America by leading the development and implementation of the channel strategy in the region.  The incumbent must partner across functions such as sales, engineering, marketing, operations and product management to implement plans and programs that will expand our current channel capability. This position will be the focal point for determining channel requirements and is responsible for extending our market reach with distributors and resellers in the region. Aggressively mobilizing resources to grow revenue volume through the channel is critical to achieving our overall business goals.  Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in sales or sales management• Effectively establishes long-term strategic alliances with external partners and resellers • Possesses a strong network of contacts within the indirect channel community • General management skills including:  supervisory experience and budget management• Proven track record of getting results and achieving growth objectives in sales and sales management. Preferred: • Strong background within the Point of Sales (POS) industry • Strong network within indirect channel marketing community within information technology sector  Scope:Direct Reports: TBD  Key Challenges: â€¢ Refine and manage North America go-to-market strategy for Channel Partners and Distributors• Partner with NCR Area Sales Leaders to implement plans that effectively drive channel growth• Deploy channel resources to ensure they are aligned to meet business needs. • Manage channel resources to achieve defined objectives and revenue per geography/account• Recruit and develop Partner community to maintain appropriate geographic coverage that is aligned to   market opportunity• Facilitate company objectives through extensive cross-functional engagement, e.g. Channel Finance, Channel  Development and Corporate development teams• Provide sales forecast and commits of Partner business.• Assist industry marketing teams with business development and programmatic deployments • Ensure compliance of NCR bookings, inventory rules and compliance with reporting requirements• Identify and report on competitive trends (products, promotions etc.) in the territory.• Resolve and/or escalate channel issues when appropriate.• Assist with creation and drive marketing plans to complement channel and customer strategy.• Share best practices within North America and NCR globally.• Continue to develop Channel Account Management competencies and implement required training.   Diversity Integrated into our shared values is NCR's commitment to diversity.
