Network System Engineer
PRIMARY DUTIES
Â
·        Design, Planning, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the following:
o   Enterprise Layer 2 and layer 3 HA environments.
o   Complex heterogeneous networks with a diverse group of hardware.
o   Enterprise wireless access solutions.
o   Security Systems to include all aspects of network security.
o   Application availability and performance enhancements.
·        Pre-sales technical support to include but not limited to:
o   Consultative meetings to discuss and understand business needs of Customers
o   Design best of breed solutions to fill customers needs
o   Creation of Build of materials for solutions
o   Scoping of professional services in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
·        Support and provide knowledge transfer to clients both on site and via other means of communication.
·        Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, and the within a group when so assigned.Â

REQUIREMENTS
·        Minimum 10+ years experience with security and networking technologies.
·        Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, Switching and firewall design and implementation.
·        Working experience with:
o   UNIX/LINIX
o   Bandwidth Optimization technologies
o   Proxy based application security products
o   VOIP and other network intensive protocols
o   Network QOS strategies.
o   load balancing

·        Extensive experience with technologies from CiscoÂ
·        Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from end-user to senior management about both business and IT needs.
·        Experience translating business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
·        Excellent project management, project scoping, troubleshooting, problem resolution, documentation and customer management skills required.Â
·        Cisco Certifications desirable or the ability to acquire within 6 months.
