Network Support Specialist

Min. Certification:         MCSA

 

Min Education: Associates Degree / Equivalent Work Experience

 

We are a Denver based IT consulting and support company focusing on small to midsize businesses in the Denver metro area.  This position will provide support to our Denver area clients. 

Job Responsibilities: Ability to perform Desktop Support Specialists duties. Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues, including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, WINS, Routing, Firewall, Security. Install and Configure Servers; Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Terminal Services, Active Directory. Create and update Project Plans. Recommend quality solutions to Clients. Research new technologies. Map out networks to facilitate understanding by all technical staff. Control network access and control mechanisms. Diagnose future network conflicts. Ability to update all equipment on the network; Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Servers. Demonstrate proficiencies in Active Directory realm. Troubleshoot connectivity issues. Work with vendors to resolve client issues. Develop new troubleshooting techniques. Expand personal knowledge whenever possible. Maintain a good working relationship with client. Perform duties in an ethical manner. Provides mentorship to lower level techs.

 

 

Additional Skills: Possess superior communication skills, especially when dealing with non-technical clients Must be able to effectively self manage with limited supervision Must possess the ability to provide technical training to end users. Willingness and ability to learn and support new systems and applications. Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
