JOB SUMMARY

The Network Support Engineer (NSE) will provide technical support to small to medium business customers and will be product specialists within their area of expertise.  The NSE will provide support from pre-sales through warranty to entitlement support and will be responsible for delivering full cycle resolution to the customer.  The NSE will provide the following support:Technical Support Complete 'End to End' case management Pre-sales assistance and consultative sales

QUALIFICATIONSTechnology or Engineering degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in a related technical support environment Cisco Networking experience preferredExperience configuring Cisco routers, switches and hubs Demonstrated abilities in the following areas: IP, TCP, UDP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, EIGRP, OSFP and IGMP protocolsExcellent problem diagnosis and problem solving skills in a highly complex network environment Strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, good judgment, and mature interpersonal skills

REQUIRED COMPETENCIESMust have industry knowledge of current technologies and their positioning in real time environments. Practice Complete Case Ownership and assist customers with all aspects of support. Works well in groups within the team and or with external resources to accomplish task.Clearly communicates to customers when the next communication will be and meets the commitment.Identifies ways to streamline interactions with the Business Units and willingly serves as a single point of contact when necessary. Recognizes the importance of being responsive to clients/customers and meets their responsiveness expectations. Continuously asks "how will this impact the client" and "is this in the best interest of the customer" when setting priorities and developing solutions. Persists until the goal is achieved and commitments are met. "Thinks out of the box". Identifies better and more efficient ways to solve customer problems. Must be able to understand needs of networks and solutions based on customers’ current network and future requirements. Continuously looks for new and innovative ways to run projects efficiently.
