Network Operations Center Support Engineer

Day to Day Work This position is one of the initial points of contact for any network trouble tickets generated by the Service Desk or a network event. This engineer either resolves problem or escalates to higher support tier. Response to network incidents and client requests includes following documented procedures, notifying clients, basic troubleshooting, monitoring progress toward client SLA, engaging third party support, verifying resolution, and answering questions from client and key Unisys personnel. Key Responsibilities Analyzes local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices. Resolves interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including E-Mail, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like. Configures systems to user environments. Supports acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. Technical & Behavioral Skills CCNA desired, NOC support experience required. Ticleting Systems experience required.
