Extropy Group is currently hiring consultants with extensive backgrounds in large enterprise and service provider network environments to provide technical leadership plus design and implementation services for our customers. The right individuals will demonstrate the ability to lead and deliver complex IT projects. Our consultants are experts in a wide variety of information technologies, and understand industry best-practices. Our consultants participate in our collaborative consulting practices, delivering expertise in specific domains such as networking, security and infrastructure. Position: Consultant – Senior Network Engineer / Architect / VoIP Infrastructure5+ years of professional experience in networking fieldOne or more of the following industry recognized certifications (or equivalent experience)Cisco CCIE (R/S, SP, Security, Voice, Storage) Cisco CCNP, CCIP, CCDP, CCVP Juniper JNCIE (M/T, ER) Juniper JNCIP-MT, JNCIS-M/T, JNCIS-ERDeep Expertise in at least one of the following areas:Network Backbone/Service Provider/Enterprise Architecture and DesignData Center Network Architectures and DesignOSPF, BGP, MPLS, QoSExperience designing and implementing QoS standards and technologies across platforms to ensure strict service guarantees (SLAs) for Voice and Video.Advanced understanding of VoIP technologies, such as H.323 and/or SIPStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Visio and Office Suite

Highly Desirable Skills:
Advanced understanding of IP/MPLS communications theory, design and functionalityStrong working knowledge of network management and testing tools (at a minimum ethereal/wireshark)

General Experience:Customer-centric consulting mentalityAbility to collaborate directly with customers and team members to fulfill deliverablesProven ability to develop documentation for clients, including standard RFI/RFQ/RFP documentsAbility to take initiative and provide technical leadership throughout project durationExtensive general experience with advanced routing, switching, and security designsExperience in a consulting role supporting customers on-site and off-site Willingness to travel and work at customer sites
