TITLE: Network Engineer – Linux/VMware AdminLOCATION: Hillsboro, ORDURATION: 6 MonthsREQUIREMENTS AND SKILL SETS Must be US Citizen, Perm Resident or EAD ONLY- NO CORP-to-CORPNecessary Skills: Linux Administration VMware Administration (VI3 preferred, but any ESX, ESXi or Server product experience). Technical Documentation. RPM repository maintenance (apt or other package repository maintenance would equate). Hardware Vendor relations. Additional Skills Desired: Python programming System maintenance scripting - bash/perl WAN replication software. Subversion (or other version control) Administration. Fedora Core Linux Open Source development experience JOB DESCRIPTION Project Description: Support a VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 environment. Provides a testing and development environment for 3 disparate geolocations. The software built ends up shipping on Consumer Electronic products. Daily Responsibilities: Maintain NetBackup procedures. Get price quotes for equipment from approved vendors Install server hardware in data center. User permissions and account administration. Infrastructure services maintenance and deployment - e.g. nis, nfs, http, smtp. Maintenance of YUM RPM repositories for developer workstations as well as VMware VMs. Linux Administration. Script writing, RPM creation, software updates. VMware ESX administration. NetApp SAN administration - nfs, cifs, fcp Documentation and General End User Support (developers and testers).
