Info Systems Technician (Network Computer Operator) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGYPHOENIX, AZ________________________________________________________________________________The Information Technology Department, located in Deer Valley Data Center has an opening for a Computer Operator position.Qualifications:2- 4 years post high school education; College Degree in Computer Science preferred.2+ years of hands-on Operations experience with Tandem Systems, Electronic Mailbox and File Transfer Systems (Connecti: Direct/PM4Data, FTP, NVDM).Hands-on knowledge and experience with Tandem Systems Monitoring and Operations Automation tools (Enguard, Tracker, JCMS) and other Systems and Network and Operations Management tools (NetView, Omegamon, HP-Openview, CA7, CA11, OpsMVS, Control-M, BMC Patrol).2+ years of Basic Systems Administration or Operations experience with Unix and NT based hardware (Sun, NCR, Unisys, HP, Compaq, IBM). Teradata Operations experience a plus.2+ years of experience operating medium to large scale MVS/Jes2 IBM mainframe systems; operating knowledge of CICS and Informix, DB2, Sybase and Oracle databases.Working knowledge of IBM JCL and Utilities, Program Products, and Network Protocols (SNA, IP, TCP/IP, etc.)Able to monitor and maintain multiple tasks at once.Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Mainly Responsible for monitoring and operating Mainframe and Tandem platforms. Responsible for monitoring and operating the UNIX, NT, and Teradata platforms. Responsible for monitoring and operating the Tandem Systems, associated file transfer and batch processes. These includes Payments Transaction processing and Gift Card activation processes.Initiate, execute and monitor batch-processing schedule using JCMS, Control-M and CA-7 schedulers and resolve and/or coordinate the resolution of batch problems. Perform first level hardware/software problem analysis, identification and resolution; execute problem escalation and notification procedures.Ensure that all service level commitments and processing deadlines are met. Update and maintain operator activity/turnover logs and SRS tickets (problem report). Perform unsupervised system shutdown and start-up procedures, application and data base recovery procedures following established SOP's. Perform Incident management when needed. Train and develop less experienced Operators when required.
