Develops the architecture for monitoring network consumption, capacity constraints and trending. Performs system capacity planning to ensure appropriate growth and evolution of systems. Consults with client(s) and internal engineering groups to create and/or review requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs. Partners with other engineering and support personnel to document and implement installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, monitoring, performance analysis, reporting and other operation flows. Analyzes forecast numbers and models to forecast traffic requirements and capital costs for system. Oversees testing of network(s) to evaluate architecture design, concepts performance and features of the design. Resolves issues as necessary. Provides escalated technical support to management and customers to identify and resolve operational issues. Researches and evaluates network technologies, new products, literature, patents and current practices to support business requirements and/or new industry technology. Conducts high level training programs for client(s) on product technical capabilities and associated efforts. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Directs cross-functional technical teams to design and implement effective network architectures for the client. Works on project life cycle from requirements through design, implementation, and support to ensure implementation of appropriate technology in every stage to include Cost Modeling, Resource Planning and Performance Management. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred Nine or more years of experience in network engineering, architecture or systems engineering Experience working with networking, telecommunications and Internet working protocols and standards Experience working with network design and analysis Experience working with voice video, data transport, bandwidth utilization, and network services Other Qualifications Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of networks Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, senior level personnel and team members Strong communication skills Strong leadership skills to guide clients and effectively mentor less experienced personnel Ability to work independently and as part of a global team Ability to integrate highly complex systems ***TS/SCI and Full Scope Polygraph Required***Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:TS/SCI w/ FS Polygraph Create Success
