These solutions will utilize legacy .Net technologies, as well as newer emerging .Net standards. Reporting to our Senior Application Architect, this position will work closely with our Marketing and Communications teams, as well as our in-house development staff in Edmonton, Canada and Mumbai, India.Day-to-day work will involve handling of web change requests and break-fixes, as well as requirements gathering for new projects. This individual will have to work flexible hours at times due to time zone differences and critical business needs.As we will soon be moving our corporate internet site to a new platform, this position requires extensive experience in deploying and supporting Content Management Systems.Required Skills Good experience with .NET Framework 2.0+ including Visual Studio 2005+ Strong experience with .NET Framework 1.1 including Visual Studio .NET 2003 Strong ASP.NET experience with strong VB.NET skills AND good C#.NET skills Good experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 Strong T-SQL skills Strong knowledge of XHTML, DHTML, CSS Good understanding of Web 2.0 technologies Good experience creating and manipulating XML Good experience with JavaScript Understands classic ASP Good experience with Visual Source Safe (any version) Average experience working in a Development, Stage and Production Environment Good understanding or experience with tiered projects (‘data access / business logic / presentation’ layers) Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) a mustPreferred/Recommended Skills Average experience with windows services, COM+ and component development Setup/used Team Foundation Server Experience with classic ASP Average experience with Ajax Understands or has practical experience with Data Warehousing, Unit Testing, Design Patterns and UML Familiarity with Excel databases and manipulation SharePoint development experience a plus User interface design a plusOther Skills Team player Good oral and written technical skills Excellent communication skills Strong problem solving skills (many tasks required identifying coding issues and finding/creating solutions) Experience communicating with clients Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco        Â
