NYC - Advantage Experienced Application Developer (NN 62A) NYC - Advantage Experienced Application Developer (NN 62A) Position Description:The Application Architect / Programmer Analyst would be responsible for the following tasks:-Review functional General System Designs and Approach documents to gain understanding of business requirements.-Based on the General System Designs, Approach documents and requirement documents:1.Outline and develop Application Integration detailed designs and technical design documents.2 Analyze and develop or modify Advantage application processes3. Support development of UNIX scripts and run books. 3 Outline and develop Unit Testing Strategies, and develop Test Scenarios and Test Cases.-Provide user support and deliver user documentation.-Work with client or other project teams to support implementation activities.-Provide status reporting to team leader and assist with monitoring the timely completion of scheduled tasksEssential Skills Required:The candidate should have 3-5 years experience in:•system development, •analytical ability, •strong interpersonal communication •multitasking skills. The candidate should have 2+ years experience developing Advantage 3 application software.System development experience should primarily be with J2EE applications deployed to the WebSphere Application Server environment. Knowledge of AIX, Oracle, RUP methodology, Versata Logic Studio, and/or XML is a MUST. Knowledge of the basic elements of the Governmental Accounting is a MUST. Other Skills:-Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision-Ability to work in team environment-Familiarity in use of project collaboration tools such as SharePointHardware:-AIX (required)-Windows (required)-Z/OS (preferred)Software:-J2EE applications (required), with preference for those deployed on WebSphere Application Server-Microsoft Office – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access -SQL (preferred), especially with experience in Oracle (DB2 also ok)-Versata Logic Studio (required)-AMS Advantage Financial 3.x-Rational Suite, with focus on ClearCase and ClearQuest (preferred)Education Requirements:Undergraduate degree Founded in 1976, CGI Group Inc. is one of the largest independent information technology and business process services firms in the world.
