Microsoft DSM/MPIO/Visual Studio Developer
Hands-on Microsoft DSM/MPIO W2003/W2008 Software development role where the primary responsibility will be the development, testing, and support of Client's Network's DSM module for W2003 and W2008 -Must have strong C and C++ knowledge and at least 1 year experience with a recent release of Microsoft Visual Studio -Experience in either Microsoft COM API or WMI, and an understanding of the Microsoft MPIO framework and DSM would be a strong plus -Exercises judgment within broadly defined objectives in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain solid, timely results - Expected experience: 3+ years, however your depth of knowledge is more important than your years of experience -Must have experience in C and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio -Microsoft Windows systems programming experience (a strong plus) -Microsoft Windows kernel mode driver experience (a strong plus) -Understanding of Microsoft MPIO framework and DSM modules (a strong plus). BS or higher in CS, CEMicrosoft COM API, or even better, WMI experience (a plus). SCSI/iSCSI based primary storage experience (a plus). Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge (a plus). Knowledge of Distributed Systems (a plus). RAID experience (a plus). Installers, especially InstallShield (a minor plus). The successful candidate must be a self starter, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables end to end, prioritize workload effectively, and thrive in a dynamic environment. Work closely with business teams analyzing development and new reporting requirements. Implement and execute all development & configuration changes in application. Participate in all stages of development/configuration process from inception through prototyping, including requirements definition, technical development & configuration, testing and deployment. Serve as the primary troubleshooter, proactively monitoring system configuration and controls, including day to day system administration. Excellent Communication with both non&technical Flexible & adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products Keen attention to detail Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
