MicroStrategy Senior Analyst/Developer

Do you have a passion for troubleshooting, and the talent to work with complex enterprise systems?  Are you an experienced MicroStrategy BI Developer?  If so, Circuit City has an exciting opportunity for a MicroStrategy Senior Analyst/Developer! As the MicroStrategy Senior Analyst/Developer, you will have a diverse background in reporting technologies and the architecture, design, development and optimization of complex reporting implementations. You will have a firm grasp of the data warehouse architecture and the structure of multidimensional objects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for project deliverables from design to implementation Work face-to-face with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and expectations in order to design and develop appropriate deliverables Design, develop and enhance product applications that meet customers expectations Collaborate with Architecture, Applications Development, Business Analysis, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Data Warehousing, and other IT stakeholders on progress Preferred Education and/or Experience: College degree in computer science/related fields or equivalent experience Minimum 2 years of MicroStrategy experience; specifically version 8.1.2. Technical Requirements: Minimum of 5 years general technical experience 2 years BI development experience preferred 2 years experience in MicroStrategy, and related BI disciplines Demonstrated experience in the entire development process Demonstrated advanced experience in the following areas: MicroStrategy Administrator MicroStrategy Desktop MicroStrategy Integrity Manager MicroStrategy Intelligence Server MicroStrategy Narrowcast Server MicroStrategy OLAP Services MicroStrategy Report Services MicroStrategy Web General experience with the following: Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing Best Practices Data Warehousing (DBMS) Data modeling skills Query tools SQL Netezza, Oracle, SQL Server UNIX and NT Systems Knowledge of testing and QA procedures Experience with Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, & Framework Manager a plus As we continue to transform our organization to better meet the needs of our customers, there are many opportunities to contribute to the future success of Circuit City.
