We have an excellent opportunity available for a Messaging Systems Operator. This position will be based at the Pentagon, in Arlington, VA. Shift positions to start with are from 2:30 and also the midnight shift.

The successful candidate will:

Provide DMS and National Gateway Messaging support to Pentagon customers; be responsible for customer messaging support; Resolve National Gateway routing problems, DMS non-delivery problems and viruses in DMS messages or attachments; Provide over-the-counter services to PTC customers to include message preparation, sending out messages, in JANAP and DMS formats; Manage message queues, provide special category message handling services; Provide manual review of designated messages; Maintain Master Station Log of activities; Provide customer support and resolve customer problems.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year experience as a message system operator in a Microsoft NT environment (Message Center, DMS or DMS-related field is preferred ); Experience with Northrop Grumman Decision Agent, ECGS and Telos AMHS, technical training in system administration, messaging or communication networking field preferred Must be trained in message formatting, message handling, regulations and directives, security classification markings, National Gateway Routing (AUTODIN); An active TS (Top Secret) Security Clearance is required for this position; Shift work is required and hours are set by the Program Manager; Designated as Emergency Mission Critical or Mission Essential Personnel; Must be able to travel to and work from an alternate work site; Required to report to day shift for in processing, training and evaluation for a period of time determined by the Program Manager; Shift assignments are not permanent nor are they guaranteed. Shift assignments can be changed at any time at the discretion of the Program Manager; Required to work holidays and weekends.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Government security investigation, must be a US citizen, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
