Job ID: 250343Overview:As a Media Consultant you will work closely with the Sales Specialist and Report Writer to lead media analysis projects for Fortune 1000 clients. As a media consultant you will be expected to direct and be responsible for both all deliverables on a client project. The MC will possess intimate knowledge of each account, the users, the influencer and decision makers as well as the extension of that contact base. In addition to maintaining existing relationships and revenues, the MC is responsible for identifying additional growth opportunities from within the existing client base, and passing these opportunities as leads to the territory Sales Specialist. It requires an appreciation of the challenges facing communications executives and PR professionals, an understanding of media research design and methodology and ability to project manage product configurations and writing clear, succinct final copy media reports are important competencies.Position Description: Key Responsibilities/ Accountability:• The ability to manage full projects of all project categories, design research based on client briefs (verbal and written).• Build and manage long-term relationships with all key contacts within each of your dedicated set of accounts. - Protect revenue by ensuring your customers are fully supported and understand the value of the Dow Jones Insight platform and services. • Work cooperatively with your team colleagues as well as work independently as the point of contact for Dow Jones Insight for your clients within the Insight Media Lab.• Effectively coordinate with the sales force to allow the account team to own the client relationship ensuring you are free to provide the qualitative media expertise. • Pro-actively engage with clients on industry issues and strategic direction. • Ensure regular meetings with clients monthly or quarterly for formal review of service. • Pro-actively identify new opportunities within your accounts through relationship development and gaining a deep understanding of your client’s business units and other department KPI’s.• Keep accurate client records via Project Management System• Stay abreast of the latest industry media developments • Stay aware of our strengths and weaknesses with respect to our competitors. • Adhering to strict timelines for development and delivery of product/service to client.• Maintain and action client ‘Score-Card’ • Lead staff in all areas of research, analysis, interpretation and proprietary tools.• Manage multiple projects (a project set) to profitability.• Work independently and directly with clients on research design and presentation. • Write final copy of client reports that provide context around the significance of charts produced by Insight online products. • Produce Industry ‘Leadership’ pieces.Position Requirements:Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: • Experience in the communication industry in a PR or corporate communications role and/or experience in formal information media research• Strong communication and presentation skills. • This position requires interpretive/consultative skills that deliver quantitative findings that can be easily interpreted to focus on client strategy and objectives. • Ability to effectively develop and mentor a team to deliver innovate media research solutions. • High level of initiative and self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to take responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. • Ability to adjust plans quickly when issues arise and make sure that priority issues are handled effectively to accomplish goals and objectives. • Ability to effectively work with clients and team members in a multi- cultural and diverse environment. . • Ability to adapt readily to changing customer expectations, as well as changes in Factiva’s product/service offerings. • Degree level education. • This role requires frequent travel to client locations• Second language preferable..
