Nuclear Medicine new product introduction team. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for New Product Cost control through the application of DFx techniques.- Maintains DFM related metrics and targets.- Will take ownership of ALL design related cost components (DFM/A, Installability, packaging/transportation, etc.).- Acts as the technical interface to all PMS strategic suppliers(in conjunction with strat sourcing team) during design, and manufacturing ramp-up phases of NPI projects.- Acts as a interface to NM specific suppliers (e.g. crystals and PMTs) during design, and manufacturing ramp-up phases of NPI projects.- Provides manufacturing process expertise - partnering with design engineering on: e.g. Solderless PCBAs, Silicon PMTs, etc.- Advanced manufacturing engineering function - how we take advantage of mfg technologies that cross multiple products, e.g. cover materials.- Has involvement in NPI during conceptual phase to drive mfg decisions e.g. determination of casting, machining, forging type decisions.Leadership capabilities - need to coordinate the rest of the operations organization during NPI projects. - Provides strong advocacy for change in approach - challenge engineers during the design process. Your Profile: Strong mechanical background preferred.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline with a minimum of 3-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment.Knowledge of Pro-E/SolidworksPackaging experienceRIM and Cover experience desired- Must have the ability to plan and direct own activities and others involved the project, understand inter-relationships between design and manufacturing.- Must have experience with new product introduction in aconcurrent engineering environment.handling prototype system within manufacturing (bom's, procedures, build and test)- Must have experience with process development and validation as well as design for manufacturability.- Must have previous involvement in product requirements, specification and design review as well as design and manufacture cost improvement.- Well be versed in structured development and improvement techniques for high quality, high consistency build, test, and order fulfillment processes - such as black belt, MEDIC, FMEA, cause/effect analysis etc.Must have applicable, equivalent product technology experience - multi-process, networked computer controlledFDA/QSR & ISO environment.- Must be results oriented, strive for excellence, lead by example, inspires others, have strong interpersonal skills and be team work focused.- Medical equipment experience is strongly preferred.- Experience with Capital equipment also acceptable.10% travel possibility Contacts: Philips Notes Philips is an equal opportunity employer.
