Fordham University, a dynamic university in the cultural heart of New York City, is ranked within the top 75 Universities in the nation by US News and World Report. Fordham enrolls approximately 15,000 undergraduate and graduate students in its 10 colleges and schools, and the University is on an expansion program across all disciplines. Our IT/Computer Services Group is currently seeking a Manager of Web Content to select and manage a team of 10 to 15 part-time employees, and oversee the project management of an aggressive Web Redesign campaign. Working within an Enterprise Project Management framework, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties: Organizes a cohesive Web content updating strategy. Hands-on management of the HTML, CSS and ASP coding requirements. Reports to the Director of Internet Services. Leads the technical team training initiative. Leads and participates in the Migration of all externally designed Web content from HTML into the University CMS. Verifies and maintains link viability throughout the site. Assembles monthly statistical reports. Interfaces with designated departmental liaisons to review current and future needs. Provides application-specific assistance to designated departmental liaisons. Helps troubleshoot user-related issues and application-related issues. Participates in the development of an ongoing end user training program, in the development and maintenance of user documentation and training materials, and in regularly scheduled meetings with the management and staff of Fordham IT. Provides ongoing status reports to the Director of Internet Services. Reports on the effectiveness of initiatives. To qualify for this position, team leadership experience is a must; project management experience is strongly preferred. Must have complete knowledge of javascript, XHTML, CSS, ASP and extensive knowledge of Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Word and Excel. Experience with Google Appliance, Webrtrends and Webalizer preferred. Some experience with CGI (Perl), JSP, ODBC, IIS, DOS and UNIX is a plus. Excellent leadership abilities and a strong orientation towards customer service are a must, as well as strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Must have proven analytical, diagnostic, organizational and problem solving skills. A Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or 5+ years of solid IT team leadership experience is required.
