Description Manager of Project Management (St. Louis, MO) will lead and manage Scottrade's Project Management Office. This role is responsible for the overall successful execution of the combined program and project portfolio aligned to key strategic and tactical objectives. The Manager of Project Management will serve as a liaison between business, IT and third party vendors to ensure Scottrade objectives are cooperatively met with timeliness and quality.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and administrates the project management process by ensuring objective project prioritization, appropriate resource allocation, consistent communication, accurate specifications/documentation, auditable budgets, and timely delivery of end product. Drives for the progressive improvement and on-going operation of the project management office. Fosters creative and efficient project management practices through regular evaluation of the process. Conducts periodic gate reviews to ensure projects are operating to expected standards. Hire, mentor and create development plans for a centralized group of Project Management professionals to ensure consistent leadership approaches, methodologies, tools, techniques and procedures are effectively utilized. Responsible for the development and management of a measurement strategy to ensure optimal resource allocation and productive team performance using project milestones, key performance indicators, risks and exposures, success rates, financial impact and benefits, and schedule commitments. Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as needed.Required Skills Familiar with Brokerage Industry or Financial Services systems Proficient in general management knowledge and skills such as departmental planning, personnel administration, and information technology Proficient in understanding project life cycle, and how it corresponds to various system development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile, Iterative, or Waterfall Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively and present information to external customers, the general public and groups of peers or management with Scottrade, in person or via phone conversation. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project.
