Manager, Systems and Networks (Term Position/Contractor)

Scope: a large portfolio of responsibilities including core network, security, VPN, storage, network services, wireless phone, VMWare, Red Hat, windows and others.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing a team of approximately 20 people across the Atlantic region.
Responsible for management of many vendors.
Develop strategies and manage services.
Mange projects such as the technical aspects of office re-locations.
Skills:
Must be a strong leader.
Be a self-starter who can work with little to no transition time.
Must be able to work in a complex environment.
Must have very strong vendor management skills.
Will be expected to complete strategy documents (but will not be required to create architecture or technical design documents).
Required Work Experience:
10+ years in infrastructure management including 5+ years in a supervisory position.
Required Level of Education:
Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or similar program.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks at the same time.
Good observation skills and attention to detail are essential.
Strong Leadership, Communication, and Negotiation Skills.
Proficiency in English is required (written & spoken). French would be an asset.
