Manager - Systems Analysis & Project Management

Job Purpose:

 

Significant role in the Information Technology department, providing 1) Systems development life cycle expertise required to manage requirements analysis, business process mapping and system development plans 2) IT project management to ensure accurate and timely completion of IT development and deployment projects 3) Management of a group of Systems Analysts, providing leadership, mentoring and career development.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Gathers, analyzes and documents information system requirements from all project stakeholders and users

 

Works cross-functionally with other groups at iBAHN to ensure their business requirements are incorporated into the system.

 

Takes the lead role in writing the business case to justify the system costs, ROI and total cost of ownership.

 

Serves as the project manager, responsible for all phases of the system development / deployment life cycle.

 

Responsible for project plan and project budget, including status reporting and resource management

 

Acts as first point of contact for all issues related to system functionality and business processes.

 

Assists project stakeholders in business process modeling and process re-engineering.

 

Creates and updates all documentation related to the systems and business processes of Information Technology

 

Oversees the creation of training documentation and the training of end users

 

Documents the system test plan, based on the system requirements.

 

Provides information m product enhancements and upgrades, and manages vendor relationships.

 

 

Essential Skill Requirements:

 

Experience in managing IT assets within a System Development Life Cycle methodology.

 

Strong experience in Requirements Analysis and Business Process Modeling, with proven experience at mapping business requirements into COTS software packages.

 

Significant experience in IT Project Management in a medium to large scale company.

 

Experience in managing and motivating a group of technology professionals, including performance reviews.

 

Extensive background in long-term project planning and systems integration.

Ability to secure, interpret and analyze technical data, and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at conclusions

 

Experience and Education:

 

Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a technology related discipline

 

8 - 1O years experience in Requirements Analysis and Business Process Modeling

 

Experience in significant project deployments of CRM, ERP or other large-scale system integration projects

 

3 - 5 years experience in IT Project Management (PMI certification preferred)

 

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional groups of people.
