Manager, Business Development w/ Military Experience

Job Code: RFCD06081035  Job Description: Makes and develops contacts with existing and potential Army customers. Key Harris Corporation representative to the Army community at Ft. Monmouth. Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements. Participates in the preparation of sales and marketing plans, business plans, and product development plans. Conducts product presentations. Maintains up-to-date customer contacts. Maintains technical proficiency and consults with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services. Keeps informed of new products and other information of interest to customers. Investigates new applications or improvements to products. Provides marketing intelligence to sales management and may participate in the development of sales strategies and forecasts.  Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. Experience in Defense Communications Industry is required. Experience with the Ft Monmouth community, especially established working relationships with pertinent leadership at CECOM, PEO C3T, PEO IEWS, etc. Additional relationships with corresponding Army, and Program offices such as PM TRCS-CP and PM WIN-T required. This position requires for approximately 10% travel for business purposes. Additional or Preferred Skills: MBA or graduate degree preferred. Experience in the requirement generation process especially within TRADOC, very desirable. 20+ years of US military experience (preferred) Signals/Communications experience in the Army or other military service at approximately the O-5/6 level. Must be a proactive, self starter, with demonstrable experience working with minimal supervision. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret clearance.
