COBOL 2. DB2 3. JCL 4. COBOL Stored Procedures Responsibilities • Gather requirements, analyze, design, code, test, and implement both batch processes/programs and stored procedures for new development • Maintain and support existing systems • Advise or collaborate with developers on solutions to issues, data architectures, system facilities/capabilities and the operation/tuning of databases • Provide on-call support on a rotating basis Technical Qualifications • z/OS, JCL, COBOL, DB2, SQL, Syncsort, COBOL Stored Procedures • Full Life Cycle methodology • BMC DB2 utilities, MQSeries, C/C++, UNIX, SAS a plus Other Qualifications • Excellent communication skills (listening, persuasiveness, oral, written) • Strong people skills (team orientation, judgment, interpersonal relations) • Ability to work with minimal direction from management • Result and goal oriented • Highly proactive, takes initiative • Experience with pricing and yield management systems a plus Measurements of Success • Delivery of quality solutions • Innovative approaches to problem solving • Customer acceptance and satisfaction with end products • High level of communication, teamwork and cooperation • Adherence to appropriate schedule and budget constraints • Assume technical and non technical leadership responsibilities Education/Experience • BS/BA in appropriate field or equivalent training and experience • 5-7 years systems development experience • 5+ years - z/OS, JCL, COBOL, DB2, SQL, Syncsort experience • IBM certifications a plusThis position is available for candidates that don't require visa sponsorship.***Please submit qualified resumes directly to amarjeet.bahra@modis.com for the quickest response.*** Company: Modis, Inc.
