Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: IT/Software Development MS Dynamics NAV BA/Admin TEKsystems is looking for an experienced MS Dynamics NAV consultant to function as a Business Analyst and a Systems Administrator for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity for a client in the Western Suburbs. Activities & Responsibilities - Provide expertise in using Dynamics NAV system capabilities; consult with business stakeholders, test business process scenarios, and implement changes to system configuration - Serve as single point of contact for problem escalation to vendor, issue resolution and communication - Assist business owners by responding to and developing reports in NAV and, possibly, other analytics system - Proactively manage expectations and change aspects with business user community and other key stakeholders - Support ongoing improvement and QA efforts across company - Administer system access controls and user-level security - Monitor the production system to ensure it is functioning properly - Implement approval and notification workflows - Lead upgrade projects; apply patches when necessary and lead testing efforts - Provide a broad understanding of the software product to assess impacts of evolving business models and processes as well as the long term IT strategyRequired Skills - Minimum one life-cycle implementation of Dynamics NAV – preferably in a consulting role - 5-10 years experience working with small or mid-sized discrete manufacturers and / or distributors - 5+ years experience working with ERP systems across functions - Strong verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills - SQL knowledge - Programming experience in business applications - Experience with a major analytics system - - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance validation experienceTravel - Less than 20%.
