Linux System Administrator
Kindsight is a value-added services provider specializing in network-based security solutions for residential Internet use. We deliver an always-on, always-up-to-date security service embedded in Internet service providers’ networks to address what we call the “flawed malware defense cycle”. Our solution has industry-leading network intrusion and threat detection capability that complements today’s consumer (i.e. PC/Mac based) security offerings.
We currently are looking for a Linux System Administrator with networking skills.
Position:
Linux System Administrator provide 24x7x365 support for all Kindsight Inc. systems, and act as the central communication point for the business. Linux System Administrator monitor all production servers and applications, report and escalate problems when necessary, and troubleshoot production issues. Additional responsibilities include conducting emergency bug fixes and feature releases.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll provide monitoring and support for Kindsight Inc. linux-based systems. You’ll also develop and improve our automation and monitoring systems, and participate in 24x7 on-call support for service infrastructure.
Qualifications:
At least 3 – 5 years in a Linux production environment supporting at least 50 Linux servers. Experience using Centos, Redhat, Ubuntu, NFS, Samba, Network protocols, and Tomcat in a production environment Scripting in Perl or BashLarge scale servers deploymentManage cluster serversApplication deploymentServer monitoring using Nagios or ZabbixExperience with MySQL database administration/replication is a plus, but not required.Solid troubleshooting skills Excellent prioritization skills Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to take ownership, and the ability to identify and solve problems quickly in a fast-paced environment.
