Job Description: (For Linux Support)
Are you a "people person" with solid Linux OS (RHEL and some Ubuntu), and troubleshooting skills? If so, read further. The Client Support Representative position involves extensive interaction with Researchers including office visits to work on personal systems and workstations. You must have skills and experience in problem solving on Linux platforms. You must be able to configure client system to specifications, troubleshoot problems, and follow problem management processes. Additionally, some expertise in Windows or Mac OS would be needed. Some understanding of Lotus Notes, Sametime, etc. will be very helpful. Basic understanding of Network protocols and configuration is also required.
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma with 3 Years experience; Bachelors Degree and / or Linux RedHat Certification will be Plus. Preferred area of study: Information Services / IT Related
Experience should be in IT Support.
