The responsibilities of the Linux / SAN Systems Administrator include: administering and supporting Linux servers and SAN equipment, especially Clarion CX series and IBM storage arrays; proposing and implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the multiple Linux flavored systems; monitoring and reporting on any issues to ensure availability of systems is met, and appropriate remediation procedures are followed; performing upgrades and patches of the OS when required; evaluating, designing, documenting, testing, implementing and monitoring the Storage Area Network (SAN).

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or Technical Associates Degree with equivalent experience required.  A Minimum of 5+ years’ systems administrator experience in Linux and/or Unix and 3+ years’ experience with SAN technology (preferably EMC) is required.  Scripting experience required.  Candidates must possess the demonstrated ability to install and configure Red Hat Enterprise Linux(CentOS, Fedora), understand limitations of hardware, configure networking and file systems, configure security, set up common network (IP) services, carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting and system administration including DR (Disaster Recovery) and backup.  The ability to work and multitask in heterogeneous environments including Linux and Windows servers is critical along with the ability to work and contribute within a team environment.  Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility, detail orientation, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently.  This position will be based out of our Berwyn, PA headquarters.
