As an IT Line Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage a technical support team: hire, set performance goals and standards, train and mentor, evaluate performance, and oversee daily operations.
- Lead projects that deliver hardware and software releases to various business units: determine project scope and requirements, develop environmental requirements, oversee execution, report on status, manage budgets and. resources to ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Work closely with Principal and department management to develop and implement staffing and operational plans and short- and long-term departmental goals.
- Help to build the department budget, review expenses and ensure that the department operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensure that staff complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards, as well as with HR and Information Security policies and procedures; verify that deliverables meet Information Security requirements.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead quality initiatives to improve service delivery. 

Position Qualifications:
- 10-12 years experience of system and business application knowledge across the various PeopleSoft HR and Financial applications.
- Experience leading Center of Excellences around Technologies
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent training and experience; graduate degree preferred.
- Eight years of software development experience, including five years as a Project Manager/ Manager.
- Expert knowledge of the following project methodology practices and concepts: full product life cycle, Agile development, quality methodology, requirements gathering, resource planning.
- Expert knowledge of multiple IT platforms: AS/400, Client/server, IBM mainframe, Microsoft Windows NT, OS/390, UNIX.
- Expert knowledge of current versions of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiating, communication, interviewing and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Broad knowledge of the financial services industry.
