Job Category:Training Services Primary Location:USA-AL: ALABAMA-FT RUCKERSchedule:Full-time Job Type:Standard Employee Status:RegularJob Posting: 2008-08-06Description: Essential Job Functions Conducts learning/training needs analyses and recommends realistically deployable learning and human resource development (HRD) solutions. Works with line and business unit managers to assess, identify and provide solutions for learning in area of expertise. Reviews performance data and measurements of current training resources and programs to evaluate program performance. Reports and recommends to management, modifications to, elimination of and/or need for the development of new programs. Assesses job roles and related competencies and skills, determines and sequences learning architectures/assets that contribute to personnel development and assist in developing a strategy timeline for employee development. Identifies vendor solutions for training. Maintains relationships with vendors. Reviews external training programs to determine feasibility and applicability and recommends purchase. Applies knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to the strategy, design, and delivery methods of new learning programs. Provides leadership and best practice guidance to less experienced learning architects. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in human resources development, business administration, instructional design or related field preferred Eight or more years of experience in training, education, or instructional design Experience working with instructional design and adult learning and training methodologies Experience working with current technology and multimedia to develop and apply to training programs Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills to assess needs and recommend solutions Strong communication skills to develop training programs and procedures Strong presentation skills, both in person and virtually to train and educate all levels of employees Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective working relationships with varied levels of employees Strong personal computer, software and multi-media skills to develop programs Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources Willingness to travel Preferred Qualifications Army aviator experience Experience in training development Experience in tactical deployment of aviation Experience in current airframes: AH-64D, UH-60, CH-47D, OH-58D Experience as a platform instructor preferred, but not required Combat aviation experience in Iraq (OIF) or Afghanistan (OEF) Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Secret Create Success
