Lead WebLogic Administrator
Our client is a large telecommunications, media and entertainment company.
Responsibilities:
Perform Weblogic administration and management tasks including: installation, configuration, logical and physical design, backup/restore, core services configuration and support. Collaborate with other leads and architects to create implementation designs, reviews implementation designs of other team members and architects. Perform as a team lead over other technical team members that may consist of Project Managers, Developers, DBAs, Systems Administrators and other Core Services Application administrators: delegate work responsibilities, provide technical and professional guidance to more junior team members, develop technical action plans and project schedules for deployment. Maintain and investigate performance improvement of java applications. Insure compliance with strategic architecture and general computer controls.
Qualifications:
Minimum 7-10 years experience on multiple hardware platforms and operating systems (UNIX, Windows)*UNIX Weblogic Administration is preferred. Minimum 5 years as a Weblogic administrator. Previous experience in Open Systems environment is essential. Expert knowledge of Weblogic administration in UNIX operating environments. Knowledge of client server technology (application server, etc) and networking concepts; able to provide tech assistance, design and implement improved methods and procedures for troubleshooting and researching problem. Advanced skill level required. Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Possess excellent analytical and decision making skills. Possess leadership skills and competency to manage a technical workgroup by delegating responsibilities appropriately. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills. Flexible working hours.
